
In modern medicine, nurses have the ability to be innovators. In a recent article published by the American Journal of Nursing, nurses from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA have invented a fall-prevention tool kit. A combination of health information technology and the assessment of patients' risk of falling, the kit is projected to significantly reduce the fall rates of hospitalized patients, particularly to those 65 years and older.
